The ring striker is anchored by a lower medallion featuring a separate face motif with a radiating, feathered headdress design — an interesting decorative detail distinct from the lion above. Sand-cast construction with genuine age shown in the oxidized patina on the reverse and traces of verdigris in the deeper crevices of the mane, along with natural wear to the high points of the casting consistent with decades of use.
