An original hand-colored etching by renowned Austrian printmaker Luigi Kasimir (1881–1962) depicting Persenbeug on the Danube (Persenbeug an der Donau).
This finely detailed landscape captures the banks of the Danube beneath a sweeping tree with the historic riverside town beyond. Kasimir was internationally recognized for his atmospheric architectural and landscape etchings, many of which were individually hand-colored after printing.
This example bears the plate title “Persenbeug an der Donau” in the lower left margin and is signed in pencil beneath the image. It is presented in an elegant vintage gilt frame with wide cream matting that complements the artwork beautifully.
The print displays the delicate line work and subtle hand-applied color for which Kasimir’s work is highly regarded. Ready to hang.
