The table's surface highlights the manufacturing expertise of the era, showcasing vibrant, sunburst-patterned walnut veneers on the outer border, which are separated from the center by a thin, delicate string inlay. Inside this rectangular border lies an intricate, geometric book-matched wood inlay arranged in a diagonal chevron motif that converges into a sharp central "X" pattern to accent the contrasting wood grains.
