Pierced gilt-metal galleries encircle both the upper rim and body, lending the otherwise relaxed form a refined architectural quality.

Brass lion-mask mounts with aged ring handles embellish the sides, introducing a handsome Regency note. Generously scaled, the cachepot could hold a potted orchid, fern, or hydrangea, serve as a bottle cooler when fitted with an appropriate liner, or stand alone as a decorative object on a library table, console, or garden-room chest.
