Their dramatic sculptural form features a high, enveloping egg-shaped back that flows seamlessly into the arms and base, creating a sophisticated silhouette from every angle.

Each chair rests on a concealed 360-degree swivel mechanism and includes a generously padded removable seat cushion. Milo Baughman (1923–2003) was among the most influential American furniture designers of the 20th century. His collaboration with Thayer Coggin began in 1953 and continued for approximately 50 years, producing some of the most recognizable designs of American modernism. His work was included in MoMA's influential "Good Design" exhibition and the Whitney Museum's "High Styles: Twentieth Century American Design." In 1987, Baughman received the American Society of Furniture Designers' Distinguished Designer Award. See less
