This is a remarkable pair of large Chinese lattice window screens or panels from the early 20th century or earlier. Each panel measures 53.5” tall and 32” wide. It looks to be made of elm wood with a central carved floral medallion and gorgeous geometric fretwork in traditional Chinese patterns. The frames have mounting hardware on the back. These panels would make stunning wall art. They could even be hung as a sort of airy room divider.
The early 20th century panels are in good antique condition with all pieces intact. However, the panels are extremely delicate and show signs of repairs. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the panels.
