The embossed leather top presents well with light surface wear appropriate for its age. The gilt “page” detailing remains attractive, and the piece retains its original character. There is cosmetic wear to the leather wrapping, including areas of lifting, peeling, and loss at several corners, most noticeably along the lower base and one upper book corner, exposing the underlying material in those areas. There is also scattered finish wear and rubbing along the lower edges, base molding, and feet. These condition issues are cosmetic and do not affect the stability or functionality of the table. Some areas of wear have been photographed and are reflected in the asking price. They could be glued and clamped down to better restore. Overall your eye goes to the beauty and uniqueness of this piece before you notice the damage.
