Antique American Georgian New England Style 2 Piece Solid Cherry Highboy Chest On Chest Late 1800s Era
An antique American Georgian New England style two piece solid cherry highboy chest on chest with six pull out hand dove tail drawers. Featured are two small drawers at the top. The three drawers below are graduated in size. One large drawer is in the base of the highboy. Pine is the secondary wood. Original antique brass hand hammered floral pulls. All hand planed wood from top to bottom. Beautiful hand carved cabriolet legs. The toes are a three toe padded ball trifid foot. One foot is repaired with new pad on the rear leg. All interior drawer runner supports are replaced. Some repairs to the drawer runners. Originally this piece of furniture was all wooden pegged with no nails in its constructions. It has nails added through the many repairs in its life time. Some cosmetic moldings are repaired or replaced. Older refinish. Has been waxed inside and out. Dates back to the early 19th century. Guesstimated weight is 250 pounds.
Overall it is 44 inches wide by 69 inches tall by 25 inches deep wall out. The legs are 16 inches tall. Dates back to the 1800s era. Ready for your home and or office. Please note all photos for they too are a part of our descriptions. Inv. eec
