Original period front cover from the June 1931 issue of Asia magazine, featuring a stylized Art Deco composition of two musicians playing traditional East Asian stringed instruments. Vivid shades of crimson, scarlet, coral, and hot pink are paired with warm golden ochre, soft peach, lavender, and ivory. This is an authentic vintage magazine cover, not a later reproduction. Cover illustration by Frank McIntosh.
Presented with a vintage cream mat and sold unframed. The magazine cover measures approximately 11.5'' X 8.5'' and the overall mat measures approximately 15.5'' X 12.5''. This listing is for the front cover only. No interior magazine pages are included.
Condition is consistent with age and may include minor surface wear and mat discoloration. Please review photographs carefully.
A striking example of early 20th-century editorial illustration and graphic design. Additional original magazine covers are available.
