Original period front cover from the February 1932 issue of Woman's Home Companion magazine, featuring a graceful blue elephant carrying a basket of flowers through a snowy woodland, accompanied by three deer beneath a glowing sunrise. The striking Art Deco composition blends whimsical storytelling with elegant geometric styling. Rich cobalt blue, deep crimson, and warm orange are paired with a radiant golden yellow sunrise. Accents of soft sage green, lavender, ivory, black, and muted brown create a bold, vibrant, and highly decorative Art Deco palette. This is an authentic vintage magazine cover, not a later reproduction. Cover illustration by William P. Welsh.
Presented with a vintage gray mat and sold unframed. The magazine cover measures approximately 10'' X 13'', and the overall mat measures approximately 16'' X 12''. This listing is for the front cover only. No interior magazine pages are included.
Condition is consistent with age and may include light creasing and minor surface wear. Please review photographs carefully.
A striking example of early 20th-century editorial illustration and graphic design. Additional original magazine covers are available.
