The dresser has a glass cover. The glass was removed before taking the photo of the top surface of the dresser. The dresser was sold by the Redlick Newman Furniture Company in San Francisco, which was formed after the 1906 earthquake and closed in 1975. The company's iconic sign "17 Reasons Why" was erected at 17th and Mission Streets in 1935. There is a label in the top drawer that says "Redlick Newman Company 17 Reasons Why" so the date of manufacture must be after 1935. See the photo of the label. One of the joints in the top drawer needs repair; see photo. The brass escutcheons and rings on the 2 lower drawers were replaced with pulls and there are some marks where the removed rings touched the drawer fronts. See photos. See less
