Allow me to present an exceptionally rare cascading floor lamp from the 1960s or 70s, likely manufactured in Switzerland by TEMDE. The lamp is constructed from metal and real wood veneer.
The design brilliantly blends organic aesthetics with the Space Age style. Wooden columns styled to resemble bamboo shoots, paired with honey-colored, ribbed shades, create an amazing, warm, and incredibly cozy lighting effect (as shown in the photo). It is an absolute Mid-Century Modern classic that fits perfectly into both retro interiors and modern living rooms, serving as a true statement piece.
Features five spherical art-glass shades with a distinctive ribbed texture in a warm amber/honey hue.
Number of light sources: 5 (arranged in a cascade at varying heights).
Fully functional! The electrical system is complete, and the lamp includes a convenient foot switch on the cord.
Excellent vintage condition. The wood has been preserved in a beautiful, natural state with a light patina that adds character. The glass is free of cracks or chips.
The lamp has a few small areas of veneer loss on the base, as visible in the photos.
