Its chamfered top rests on a finely detailed structure of vertical and horizontal fluting, a decorative language inherited from Neoclassicism and frequently reinterpreted by designers of the interwar period. The balanced proportions lend the piece a discreet yet elegant presence.

Originally conceived as a side table or pedestal table, it would work beautifully beside an armchair, in an entrance hall, or as a display surface for a lamp or sculpture.

The wood has been fully restored: sanded, treated against woodworm and waxed. A few signs of age remain, along with a very slight movement in the structure, neither of which affects everyday use.
