An exceptional and highly collectible handwoven tapestry entitled Mermaids, designed by renowned Belgian artist Julien van Vlasselaer (1907–1995) and produced by the celebrated De Wit Royal Manufacturers of Tapestry, Mechelen.
Created in 1957, this remarkable textile artwork presents an abstract interpretation of mermaids through a sophisticated Mid-Century Modern aesthetic.
