An early 20th century arts and crafts jardiniere stand of square form in mahogany by london retailer liberty & co. The top of square form has a moulded edge with a small open gallery beneath, accompanied by a lattice work pierced skirt. A secondary lower tier follows with a series of symmetrical supports and vertical slats that adorn each of the four gently sloping sides. The base is connected with a series of shapely gently curved stretchers on simple pointed feet. Simple in form and beautiful in design. English, circa 1900.
