My work explores gesture, atmosphere, and the emotional resonance of color and space. This painting moves between abstraction and remembered landscape, suggesting the quiet meeting of water, vegetation, and light without depicting a specific place.

Layers of soft aqua, sage green, warm earth tones, and white create a luminous sense of depth, while expressive brushwork, drawn lines, and transparent passages evoke reflection, movement, and changing light. The painting balances energetic mark-making with quieter areas of openness, inviting the viewer into a spacious and contemplative environment.

This painting reflects a development in my visual language toward openness and a desire not to over-explain, allowing atmosphere and suggestion to take precedence over description.
