An authentic antique Meiji-period Japanese woodblock print depicting a scene from the celebrated Kabuki play Soga no Taimen (The Soga Brothers' Confrontation).
This piece is an original book illustration featuring exquisite detail and rich color pigments. Uniquely, the reverse side retains its original Japanese explanatory text page, referencing the Tokyo Kabuki-za theater and legendary performers including Nakamura Kichiemon and Ichimura Uzaemon.
The print remains mounted on its original mat board, keeping both the vibrant artwork on the front and the rare historical provenance document on the back fully accessible.
