The front comprises four hinged cabinet doors with geometric parquetry veneer panels flanking a central bank of four drawers. The top is inset with six hand-glazed ceramic tiles designed by Poulsen, featuring abstract concentric circular motifs in brown, beige, and black glazes. The cabinet interiors each retain an adjustable shelf, while the center section contains four drawers. Recessed pulls and a balanced, symmetrical arrangement emphasize the functional approach characteristic of Danish furniture from the period.

Poul H. Poulsen (1947–1999) was a Danish designer, ceramic artist, and painter. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, he collaborated extensively with Gangsø Møbler, creating ceramic tile designs that became a defining feature of the company’s furniture. His work is recognized for its abstract motifs, concentric circular compositions, and earth-toned glazes, which were incorporated into dining tables, coffee tables, sideboards, and case pieces.

Gangsø Møbler was a Danish furniture manufacturer active during the second half of the twentieth century. The company specialized in Scandinavian Modern furniture, producing dining tables, storage pieces, and occasional furniture in teak, rosewood, and oak. Gangsø is particularly associated with furniture incorporating ceramic tile surfaces designed by Poul H. Poulsen, combining traditional Danish cabinetmaking with integrated ceramic artwork. See less
