Original period front cover from the August 1915 issue of Vanity Fair magazine, featuring an elegant Art Deco woman in flowing robes, seated with a peacock-shaped stringed instrument and a dramatic fan of peacock feathers. A luxurious palette of deep sapphire blue, burgundy, rich plum, emerald green, peacock teal, warm gold, and chestnut brown is accented with ivory and black. This is an authentic vintage magazine cover, not a later reproduction. Cover illustration by George Wolfe Plank.
Presented with a vintage cream mat and sold unframed. The magazine cover measures approximately 13.5'' X 9.5'', and the overall mat measures approximately 18'' X 14''. This listing is for the front cover only. No interior magazine pages are included.
