This is the sweetest little charm packed with so much cheer and Happy Birthday-ness. The mechanical charm consists of two 14k gold rectangular tablets stacked so that they slide open like a card. On the front part of the charm, “Happy Birthday” is engraved in a diagonal banner in front of a bouquet of flowers. On the inside is an adorable enamel birthday cake with one candle. The colored enamel stands out against the gold background. The back of the charm is carefully engraved with the number six, suggesting its original owner was celebrating their sixth birthday. Circa the 1930’s or 1940’s, the engravings and birthday cake have a wonderfully retro quality that we love.
This charm is so sweet that wearing it makes everyday feel like your birthday—and lets you carry your birthday wishes with you year round.
It measures 11/16” x 7/16”, plus an additional 7.5 mm bail. It weighs 4.53 grams.
