These 14k gold earrings each hold three round brilliant diamonds, carefully drilled and suspended from platinum wires to create the effect that they are floating, like raindrops falling from the sky. Starting with a 14k gold heart-shaped vintage earring post, the diamonds descend with slight variance in size, connected by platinum wire, chosen specifically so that the white metal would blend seamlessly into the sparkling white stones. The diamonds have beautiful movement as the earrings dangle, and are kinetic in a way that feels like magic. The process of drilling through a diamond is very tricky—as there is a risk the diamond might explode—but once it is drilled through it is extremely strong. The perfect earrings for special occasions, but simple enough to wear every day. They would also make great bridal earrings.

Each earring contains three natural round brilliant diamonds. The diamonds vary in size: two are 4.5 mm, two are 4.35 mm, and two are 4.15 mm. Combined, the earrings have a TCW of 1.85 carats. The diamonds are G-H in color and VS2-SL2 in clarity.

The earrings measure 3/4” from top to bottom. Combined, they weigh 1.56 grams. The vintage earring posts have screw backs for added security. They are marked on the earring back as 14k gold; the wire is platinum.
