The body is made from clear fluted crystal that beautifully catches and reflects the light. It is topped with a frosted crystal domed lid accented by elegant tri-color mixed-metal bands in gold-, silver-, and copper-tone finishes—a distinctive design detail of the Must de Cartier collection. The hinged lid opens to reveal the interior ink reservoir, while the lid underside is engraved "Must de Cartier," numbered 005817, and marked © CARTIER 1989, attesting to its authenticity and fine French craftsmanship. The crystal base is signed "Made in France."
