Artisan-made mid-century Florentine-style demilune wall console. Richly detailed and entirely hand-finished, the piece pairs a softly distressed green-painted wood surface with hand-formed brass appliqués, creating a sculptural accent that is as decorative as it is functional.
The console's most captivating feature is its carved stylized fish bracket. Wrapped in hand-molded sheet brass and secured with tiny brass nails, the fish supports the demi-lune shelf with its gracefully curled tail while brass rosettes and scalloped trim add layers of texture and visual interest. The warm ochre interior and naturally aged brass lend the piece an inviting patina that evokes the romantic character of vintage Florentine décor.
Perfect for displaying a small sculpture, ceramic vessel, candleholder, or trailing plant, the shallow shelf is ideally suited to an entryway, powder room, library, or tucked into a gallery wall where its sculptural silhouette can be fully appreciated.
Blending elements of Italian folk art, Florentine craftsmanship, and Mediterranean design, this charming console is a distinctive decorative object that brings warmth, personality, and handcrafted character to both traditional and eclectic interiors.
