An exceptional vintage French Provincial style bombé chest or commode produced by Henredon Furniture Industries in Morganton, North Carolina. Expertly crafted with a dramatically flared serpentine profile, this 3-drawer commode showcases rich European walnut and fruitwood tones, accentuated by subtle factory distressing and a warm, glowing lustre.
Contour & Form: Sweeping, classic Dutch/French Rococo bombé sides and front, accented by a scrolled apron and scroll feet.
Wood & Grain: Premium European walnut top and drawer faces with striking cathedral arches, amber-to-chocolate tonal contrast, and subtle factory fly-speck distressing for an authentic antique patina.
Drawer Configuration: Three deep, full-width drawers featuring dovetail construction. The top drawer retains original partitioned organizational inserts, a fitted accessory tray, and ribbon-stripe mahogany drawer bottoms.
Hardware: Elaborate ornate rococo-style cast brass escutcheons and bail drawer pulls.
