Antique English Aynsley Side Plates, Set of Two
These scalloped side plates from Aynsley carry the kind of quiet confidence that only comes from genuine craft. The teal and turquoise textured border catches the light in a way that feels alive, and the hand-painted floral sprays at the centre are delicate without tipping into fussiness.
Aynsley had already earned its reputation as one of England's finest bone china makers well before these plates were produced, rooted in the Staffordshire pottery tradition that shaped British ceramics for generations. They reflect the Victorian appetite for decoration that felt refined rather than rigid.
