A Murano glass vase designed by Gio Ponti for Venini, made between the 1950s and 1960s. The piece is characterized by its polychrome cane work, achieved by combining and fusing elements of colored glass. The decoration consists of vertical canes in blue, white, red, and green, distributed across the entire surface of the vase. The body has a slightly flared shape with a wavy upper rim and a circular base.
The inscription “Venini Murano Italia” appears on the bottom.
The craftsmanship and construction characteristics are characteristic of Venini’s post-World War II production and the models designed by Gio Ponti.
The condition is excellent. There are no cracks, chips, or restorations; only normal, slight signs of wear consistent with the object’s age are present.
