Dimensions: Height x Width x Depth 193 x 132 x 69 cm. For sale is a beautiful Josephinian chest of drawers dating from around 1780–1800 – an exceptional original in restored, pristine condition. This exclusive piece has been expertly restored and then finished with a traditional hand-polished shellac finish. The exquisite surface beautifully highlights the wood grain and lends the piece its elegant, warm character. Particularly noteworthy are the fine marquetry inlays of various fruitwoods, which artfully adorn the fronts and sides. The elegant, playful display cabinet, with its curved, rocaille-decorated glass doors and flanking columns, and its ornate base, perfectly completes the harmonious overall impression. The piece is keyed, and the interior is clean and fragrant. This chest of drawers is in exceptional, pristine condition.
