František Vízner worked as the chief designer at Škrdlovice from 1967 to 1975, and this specific design from 1974 was one of his final achievements for this glassworks before embarked on an independent artistic career. It was during this independent path that he later gained worldwide fame for his minimalist cut objects made of cast glass.
