Willy Bo Richardson (b. 1974, Santa Fe, NM) is an American contemporary painter whose work explores color, form and spatial perception through a meditative, modernist lens. He received his MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute in New York.
His works are held in private and institutional collections worldwide, including the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. Moreover Richardson’s paintings have been presented in New York, Santa Fe and Santa Monica, as well as in significant curatorial contexts such as 70 Years of Abstract Painting – Excerpts at Jason McCoy Gallery, where his work was shown alongside that of Jackson Pollock. In 2012, his work was also included in the prestigious Watercolors exhibition at Phillips de Pury & Company in Chelsea, further affirming his presence within both institutional and collector-driven circles.
