These humidifiers, commonly placed on central heating radiators at the time, combine purely practical function with a distinct aesthetic characterized by a shift from smooth lines to rougher, more plastic forms. Their style sits at the intersection of the late Brussels style and the emerging Brutalism, which emphasized raw materials and bold textures in interior design of that era. The shape of the humidifiers consists of a simple, highly functional prism, with its entire front side covered in a rich, three-dimensional relief. The surface is composed of a combination of white glaze and raised decorative elements, accentuated with brown coloring, which together create the impression of an organic, almost natural structure reminiscent of tree bark or weathered rock.
