Beautifully crafted in the traditional Japanese Satsuma style, this monumental 36-inch statement piece features a heavily decorated porcelain body raised on its original carved dark wood base. The central hand-painted cartouche showcases an elegant scene of geishas on a traditional boat against a dramatic mountainous landscape. The surrounding porcelain is richly adorned with dense floral motifs, geometric borders, and traditional raised moriage detailing. The neck of the vase is flanked by stylized golden double foo dogs and chilong with gilded relief elements that catch the light beautifully. The underside bears the traditional iron-red stamped seal mark.Perfect for flanking an entryway console, anchoring a fireplace hearth, or bringing a sophisticated pop of color to a living room corner.
