This rare vintage Fitz and Floyd white cabbage soup tureen set pairs sculptural art with dining utility. The tureen is molded in the form of a head of cabbage with curling, textured leaves. The accompanying 10" ladle is detailed with a cabbage leaf bowl at the spoon end and an asparagus stalk along the handle. Finished in a brilliant, glossy, solid white glaze.
While colored majolica and cabbage-form pieces from Fitz and Floyd are occasionally found, the all-white monochrome variation of this full tureen set with its matching original asparagus ladle is exceptionally rare and highly sought after by collectors.
Can hold up to 12 cups / 96 ounce - perfect for a dinner party.
