A Japanese hand‑painted porcelain tea or coffee set, in the Satsuma and Art Nouveau styles, circa mid‑20th century, Japan. Known for its fine porcelain, Japan produced richly decorated export wares throughout the post‑war period. This three‑piece service comprises a teapot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, and creamer. Each piece is decorated by hand with expressive figural and floral motifs, including traditional dress with umbrella and flowers, garden and architectural scenes, all rendered in a vivid multicolor palette. Deep red details are characteristic of Japanese export porcelain of the period. The creamer and sugar bowl feature Art Nouveau‑influenced lines, visible in their softly curved handles, rounded bodies, and arched finial. Marked “Made in Japan” on the underside, dating the set to the post‑war export era, circa 1950s–1960s.
