The … Read more Vintage/antique pair of neoclassical cast iron urns - possibly attributable to J.L. Mott Ironworks (see initials J.L. on bases. The J. L. Mott Iron Works was an American hardware dealer and manufacturer during the late 19th century).
These types of urns were created to be entirely decorative and were very popular on mantlepieces in the Victorian era. This pair rests on carved wooden stands and are decorated with a neoclassical design of leaves and flowers.

Could be made into lamps as tops screw off and there is a straight shot to the hole opening in the base.
