An exceptional Georgian sterling silver sauce tureen by the renowned English silversmith Paul Storr (1771–1844), hallmarked London, 1795. Elegantly proportioned and finely crafted, this early work exemplifies the superior quality and refined workmanship for which Storr became celebrated.
The underside bears a full set of English hallmarks, including Paul Storr's "PS" maker's mark, the London leopard's head, the lion passant denoting sterling silver, and the date letter "u" for 1795.
