A substantial set of ten 19th century French Louis XIII style dining chairs sourced in Provence, France. The chairs feature classic provincial Louis XIII forms with rectangular backs, richly bobbin-turned front legs and matching front stretchers, and beautifully patinated solid oak frames showcasing the warmth and character associated with French country furniture of the period. The set has been fully restored and newly upholstered in-house using luxurious Kravet Smart Performance textured chenille in a rich moss green. The upholstery was entirely redesigned to create a more tailored architectural profile, featuring fully wrapped exterior backs upholstered in coordinating striped fabric, hand-applied antique brass nailhead trim framing each inset back panel, precision bias-cut striped welt, and meticulously hand-finished detailing throughout. Every chair was individually tailored to ensure crisp lines, precise pattern alignment, and exceptional consistency across the set, while the seats were completely rebuilt with new webbing and padding for lasting everyday comfort and support. The contrast between the rich moss green upholstery, tailored striped detailing, and beautifully aged oak frames creates a balanced composition that feels both timeless and refreshed, allowing the chairs to complement traditional, transitional, and contemporary interiors alike. The oak frames have been structurally restored, cleaned, hand polished, and finished with wax while preserving the natural patina and wear accumulated over more than a century. Solid, stable, and ready for everyday use.
