This pair of Vintage Pestemals, from Sknots Shelter Island, is perfect for a day at the beach (or pool, sauna, or bath)!

The Sknots Original Pestemals are lightweight, highly absorbent, and quick drying.
Their generous size (36" x 60") makes for a wonderful bath or beach towel, that may also be worn as a pareo.
They roll neatly into a small size, ready to pack or stow.
Original label is sewn into the seam of each towel.
Woven in Turkey of 100% Aegean Cotton, and finished with traditional hand-tied fringe.
This vintage pair of pestemals is woven in an exaggerated seersucker pattern with orange and beige stripes on an ivory background. The detailing on these towels is exceptional right down to the hand tied knotted fringe matching the color of each stripe. The towels are from a rarely used vacation home and are almost like new.
Pestemal (pronounced pest-te-mahl) is the authentic Turkish bath or hamam towel. A beautiful example of traditional weaving technique and workmanship, it is the essential element of the legendary Turkish bath experience for both men and women.
