Cherrier Besnus & Muller frères
A pair of French Art Deco Muller Frères wall sconces made circa 1925-1935. The frames were made by Cherrier et Besnus in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. They hold Muller frères "Les Danseuses" panels in clear frosted molded-pressed glass. A nice and sought-after model in typical art deco design by this famous glass manufacturer from Luneville France. Both panels are signed. The sconces are 28,5 cm (11,2 inches) high and 27 cm long (10,6"). They project some 11,5 cm (4,5") from the wall. The pair is in very good condition. The wall lights are rewired with American candelabra base sockets. For European countries I will place E14 ones. The sconces are represented in the old Cherrier et Besnus product catalog. (The catalog is no part of this sale).
