Description
This beautiful antique flat-top steamer trunk dates to approximately 1895–1915 and has been in my family's possession for more than 60 years.
It retains its original Excelsior Trunk Lock Co. lock from Stamford, Connecticut, along with its original brass hardware, decorative corner protectors, black metal banding, and original marbled paper-lined interior. Rich wood slats, authentic patina, and century-old craftsmanship give this trunk timeless character while offering practical storage and exceptional decorative appeal.
The flat-top design makes it especially versatile as a coffee table, blanket chest, entryway storage piece, or statement accent in traditional, farmhouse, industrial, rustic, or eclectic interiors.
The interior retains its original marbled paper lining with expected age-related wear, including minor lifting in one area.
