This is a beautiful antique silverplate and crystal inkwell stand that makes SUCH a beautiful statement in an office or on a secretary! Made with silverplate on copper and equipped to hold these original faceted crystal inkwells, this piece also features a footed base and two long depressions in which one could store other desk essentials (I have shown my wax seals here as an example, but they are not included in the set.)
It displays beautifully but it does show some age. There are a few chips to the crystal (which are nicely hidden by the diamond-point cuts) , and one of the inkwells has some etching on the interior. There are also a few spots on the silverplate where the copper shows. Please see photos... It presents beautifully and is just waiting to be gifted to someone with a love for Victorian wares, or added to the desk of someone who needs a beautiful desk accessory with some antique flair!
The base is roughly 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 4 1/2 tall to lid of the center lidded piece.
