A slender chrome-plated stem rises over two metres in height, supporting an adjustable light source that becomes a subtle architectural presence within the room.

the white lacquered curved metal shade slides freely along the stem and can be oriented as required, allowing both the height and direction of the light to be adjusted with ease. The contrast between the white diffuser and the black lighting assembly, combined with the visual lightness of the chrome structure, perfectly reflects magistretti's pursuit of rational, intuitive design stripped of unnecessary detail.
