Offered is a striking, authentic Meiji-era Royal Nishiki Nippon porcelain cylinder vase, standing an impressive 13.5 inches tall. Manufactured in Japan circa 1906–1911 by the Morimura Brothers (the precursor to Noritake), this vessel features the coveted green stamped "Hand Painted Nippon" manufacturer's backmark on its base.
The body displays an exquisite, hand-painted central vignette of a blooming coral-orange poppy flower framed by rich, deep green foliage. The upper and lower portions are styled with iconic Royal Nishiki geometric tapestry panels, accented by meticulous raised-dot moriage detailing and a gilded upper rim flanked by elegant twin handles. A masterclass in turn-of-the-century Japanese export porcelain, this piece brings a sophisticated, historical layer to traditional, eclectic, or grandmillennial interiors.
