At the pinnacle of European glass artistry, the authentic Italian glass bowl is a showcase of art glass from the famous island near Venice, and handcrafted using hot-glass blowing techniques of molten clear and red glass fused with gold leaf flakes. The decanter is Czech Bohemian lead crystal, made using cold-working lapidary techniques, where an outer layer of red glass was physically cut away using grinding wheels to reveal the clear crystal underneath, while the heavy lead crystal showcases a rich cranberry overlay cut precisely into a geometric diamond pattern beneath, complete with its original faceted crystal stopper, and an accent of red at its bottom outline. These are timeless pieces and perfect additions to Hollywood Regency, Grandmillennial, and Boho Chic aesthetics, offering design-forward elements that bring together instant sophistication, high-end texture, and vintage-rich jewel-toned color to a styled cocktail bar or cart, living room console, or dining room sideboard. In terms of physical condition, both pieces are in excellent condition and free of major chips, deep scratches, or interior cloudiness. The decanter stopper has a single slight bite on its outer rim, which does not affect its use. A detailed inspection of the Venetian bowl's hand-crafted base reveals the individual hand-applied rigaree-ring support of clear glass with shelf-wear; entirely consistent with age and regular contact with tabletops over sixty years, and remains intact, as the bowl lies without wobble. Despite this honest vintage wear at its underside, the centerpiece remains completely structurally sound, stands firmly level and square, just as it has for decades. less
