This authentic Model 206 "Surfboard" coffee table was designed by Kurt Østervig for Jason Møbler, Denmark, and produced circa 1955–1965. Constructed of teak veneer over solid hardwood with a sculpted solid teak base, it features the designer's iconic elongated surfboard top supported by distinctive inverted V-frame trestle legs. Original factory identifiers include the handwritten No. 206 designation and the Furnituremakers Danish Control quality inspection stamp. The design reflects Mid Century Modern, Modern, Scandinavian Modern styles.
The table displays the elegant architectural simplicity for which Kurt Østervig became internationally known, combining a long elliptical top with open geometric bases that create a light, floating appearance. The original handwritten Model No. 206, Furnituremakers Danish Control inspection mark, sculptural inverted V-frame base, and documented dimensions support the attribution to Kurt Østervig for Jason Møbler.
