Add an eccentric touch to your decor scheme with this rare pair of American cast bronze door knobs with plate manufactured by Lockwood Manufacturing Co. in Norwalk, CT in the 1890s. These beautiful knobs and plate are exquisitely decorated with mythological sea creatures and have a beautiful uniform and intact patina. The bronze round rosette is from the period, but is not original to the set. Nevertheless, it matches the knob very well. The knobs can be adjusted to fit doors up to 2” thick in increments of .25”. If your door is thicker than 2" than a longer spindle is available upon request.
The knobs, plate and rosette are in excellent condition with normal wear from age and use and They are indeed very characteristic of quality craftsmanship at height of the Victorian period and would make a fine addition to any classic home.
