Desvignes was a french glass painter who gained notoriety for his techniques for painting on opaline crystal and glass using vegetable-based colors that were limited to dark blue and red. Light wear to the gilding, circa 1820. Dim: w 6.7 in – d 6.7in – h 1.2in. Dim: l 17cm, p 17cm, h 3cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
