Hand carved by Zimbabwean artist, J Chirunga Shona Tribe sculpture. Large figural bust depicting an African woman with traditional hair wrap, hand-carved in Verdite, a rare green stone known for its hardness and beautiful polished finish.
J Chirunga specializes in fine, highly polished Shona stone sculptures, particularly using verdite and leopard rock. Known for capturing expressive, facial features and highly detailed traditional African hairstyles or wraps.
Measures 9" tall x 4" x 6"
