Super cool piece of American cast iron from maker Bradley & Hubbard. Uncertain of exact age, but likely 1910s vintage.
A really wonderful door stop based on the Blue Boy painting by Thomas Gainsborough. Superbly modeled, this stop is well cast and features extraordinary detail for iron, all accented by perfectly matched enamel colors. An unusual and hard to find piece from this company.
Measures 3”x 5”x 8.5”. In excellent age/use appropriate condition with minor handling wear of a few wee paint speck losses. No repaint, no breaks/losses. Marked “in mold” with the B&H initials, undated.
