This striking piece comes from his most celebrated, lifelong signature series, Winter in Aizu (Aizu no Fuyu), capturing the serene, snow-heavy landscape of his ancestral home in Fukushima Prefecture.

• Artistic Significance: Features Saito's unmistakable minimalist composition, highlighted by bold, stylized black silhouettes of winter travelers walking past heavily blanketed thatched-roof village homes. The print beautifully exhibits deep, organic woodgrain textures pressed directly into the paper substrate from the hand-carved blocks.

• Artist Markings: Hand-signed by the artist in white artist pencil (Kiyoshi Saito) in the lower-right corner, completed with his signature red square studio seal block.
