A pair of French art deco flush mounts by Francis Hubens. Made around 1931- 1934. Nickel-plated bronze or solid brass mounts hold beautiful Muller freres globes in clear frosted pressed glass. Francis Hubens was a Paris based lighting manufacturer during the interbellum. With his workshop and showroom at 68 rue des Archives.
This model base was used by Hubens for many lighting fixtures. it was used as canopy for chandeliers, for table lamps and for flush mounts. These flush mounts were offered by Hubens with seven or eight different model globes produced by Degué Muller and EJG. And the upscale clientele of Hubens could choose which shade they preferred.
I have two pairs available with this nice model Muller globe. The price is for one pair. All four shades are signed Muller frères Luneville. The flush mounts have a height of 20 cm (7,87 inches) and the shade is 16,5 cm wide (6,5"). The mounts are 14,4 cm x 12,6 cm. The lamps are in very good condition. I re-nickeled and patinated the mountings. And they are rewired with an American candelabra base socket.
